WHO WE ARE
We are the Women's Health Education and Empowerment Program.
We firmly believe that we can prevent women's suffering through health literacy and expanding women's knowledge of their health options.

Through school health education programming and community outreach, we increase women's health literacy and present women with treatment options for common women's health problems that are often taboo to discuss or overlooked by the healthcare system. An example of one such topic is uterine fibroids, which affects approximately 80% of African American women. Although minimally invasive procedures (such as Uterine Fibroid Embolization) exist, fibroids are still currently being treated by hysterectomy, causing millions of women to suffer due to lack of knowledge of their options.

Made for women. By women.
